JULIAN NIXON
Executive Director, Axis PR
Julian has extensive experience in reputation management and communication having led public relations projects for large corporations, government agencies, listed and private companies, banks, consulting firms and not-for-profit organisations in New Zealand, Australia, China and the Middle East.
His expertise includes corporate communication, investor relations, media relations, issues management, digital media and journalism.
A former General Manager of Hill & Knowlton in the Middle East and Managing Director of Burson Marsteller, Shanghai, Julian is committed to helping clients build, promote and protect their brands and reputations.
In the New Zealand Parliament, he was Press Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister. As a journalist, he was Editor of an Auckland newspaper and presenter on a TV news show.
Julian was also a founding trustee of the Tread Lightly Charitable Trust, an organisation which owns and manages mobile classrooms that visit Auckland primary and intermediate schools teaching young New Zealanders about sustainable living.
His academic qualifications include an MBA, Certificate in Journalism and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance.
GAEL OGILVIE
Environmental and Sustainability Practitioner
Gael is an award-winning senior environmental adviser and manager with a science background and four decades experience working at the forefront of natural environmental management, climate change and sustainability practices in New Zealand and overseas.
Gael advises clients on climate action (including carbon footprinting and reporting) and on how to integrate an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance focus into decision-making and operations.
Her public sector experience includes Head of Environmental Services at Auckland Council and in the private sector she was a Senior Principal at URS (now AECOM).
Gael holds a number of governance roles.
